It is anticipated that the works will include:-

• Desk top survey, drawing on available maps / aerial photographs

• Sketch Survey

  Measured Hachure Survey

• Photographic Survey

• Soil Auger Sampling

• Geophysics Survey – suitability to be explored and costed

• Controlled metal detecting (subject to gaining necessary approvals)

• Primary School Workshops / Site Tour

• Final Presentation

During all aspects of the works Community Archaeology Ltd will provide on-site training and supervision.

An Event will be held in Spring 2009 when an area of the site will be delineated where examples of some of the techniques can be demonstrated. It is hoped this will both stimulate interest and get volunteers for some of the Project Elements.
